This set commemorates the first wave of gourmet salts when Aro-En released its line in 2012. In pastry arts, highly recommended are Fleur de Sel and Confectioners Salt. Those that can be applied in the hot kitchen are Sel Gris, Shio, Smoked Salt and Mineral Sea Salt. The high mineral content found in these salts cut through rich tasting food and takes away the satiated feeling on one’s taste buds. There are chefs who have finished their white chocolate cookies with Bitter Salt and their kebabs with Flakes Salt.
Besides the first wave of 8 gourmet salts launched in 2012, this set includes 8 of the next wave of gourmet salts developed by Salinas Foods for its Aro-En line. Among the infused salts suggested by chefs for Aro-En to make are Chili Salt, Calamansi Salt, Garlic Pepper Salt, Lemon Pepper Salt, Rosemary Salt and Vanilla Bean Sea Salt that all use natural ingredients. There is an added version of Smoked Salt that uses Eucalyptus leaves having a stronger smoky aroma. In addition, Mild One Sea Salt is a variant that has a unique pyramidal shape good for topping on salads with its low saltiness level and crunchy texture.

Negative Ions makes the air more fresh resulting to a more oxygen-rich air. There are published articles even saying that negative ions can potentially increase growth rate in certain plants.
